GROW HOME

UBISOFT

Grow Home is a fun and friendly physics-based platformer, which was a joy to work on. It was a tight, small-knit team that was very focused and committed to doing a lot in a very short space of time. I was the sole UI artist who worked on all the menus and HUD elements in the game.

Menus and HUD elements were constructed with the use of the Unity engine.

I've got very fond memories of working with Shironne at Ubisoft, on both The Crew and Grow Home. He's a very capable UI / UX Designer with a great attention to detail and pragmatic approach to development. He understands the iterative and nuanced nature of game development and is perfectly at home with exploring, ideating and rethinking the UX as the game develops. I really appreciated his humble yet passionate approach to his craft and how he always had the player experience at the forefront of mind. On Grow Home, in particular he was a huge asset in supporting our very explorative and creative approach to development and was very capable of working within our tight constraints and producing some stellar results.
